GKP does ratings since the 90s, in the meantime all banks have their own systems available. In our region the GKP rating is employed by banks as an independent opinion for a financing case. Our rating goes beyond pure mathematical calculation of important rating key figures and relations. We add our estimates of soft factors which are from a practical point of view as important as the financial ratios.

We would like to introduce our approach in a personal meeting. We need about 3-5 days to do a rating and half a day of the time of the management. The advantages of a rating are as follows:

• small and medium enterprises can display their financial strength in a neutral way before they do investments
• strengths and weaknesses are visible and improvements can be implemented to get to a better rating
• rating provides a neutral credit check
• a rating builds a well founded basis and preparation for meetings and negotiations with financial partners
